The Greatest Mysteries

So a few days ago I was hanging out with my friend Mason and we were talking about moving into school early. In that moment I thought, wouldn't it be fun to go to Disneyland to watch the fireworks that night? So I sent a text to my friend Amy and she said it would want to, so I semi announced it on facebook, and my friend Daniel said I should make a mystery countdown in my status for it. Basically it turned into a bigger thing than what it really was. So it became a mystery to all my friends but three of them.

Last night roles around, my friend and I are excited to go, and we decide to stop at In n Out to get some food along the way. It took way too long to get a burger and fries so we ended up being late to the fireworks, which bummed us out because that was our whole reason of going. So we head to Indiana Jones but the line was HUGE, so we decided to go to Pirates of the Caribbean instead. On our way there, we see a bunch of people surrounded around Rivers of America, so we asked a staff member and they said that Fantasmic was going to be playing.

The last time Amy and I were at Disneyland, in June, we were told that Fantasmic would not be playing anymore, so we were really excited that it was going to play. Had we gone on Indiana Jones we never would have known about Fantasmic.

I think it's funny that we were so bummed and dissapointed about missing the fireworks, yet there was something even bigger that was in store for us. It's funny how sometimes us Christians doubt God and that He cares about us and our problems, and we forget about him when we're surrounded in our own dissapointement. Amy said last night "When dissapointing things happen, it's because there's a bigger and better picture that we don't see yet."

Only the best mysteries are so good that even the people who created it are suprised by the ending. The greatest mysteries are the ones that God plans. When we think things are ruined because they didn't go as planned, it's always because there's a bigger picture that's yet to be seen. Secret Mystery Night= Success.
